    Philips BDL4231C

    I am looking to buy a TV at the moment and not looking to spend too much money. Originally I was looking at a 32 inch Toshiba model.


    I have found a Philips BDL4231C 42 inch Multimedia HD Ready LCD Monitor at the website below for what I think is quite a good price but would this function well as a TV? Is there anything about this that would make this worse than the Toshiba? I notice the the dynamic contrast ratio is 3000:1. Is this a poor value?
