What's the point of smoking cigarettes?

Serus Question. I was thinking about this earlier, and started researching, but don't know exactly what to search for.
What does it do for you?
People smoke weed to get high, drink to get drunk, hallucinogens to hallucinate, downers to down, uppers to up... etc. w/e

What's the point of cigarettes?

I personally enjoy a cigarette after eating a heavy meal. Not addicted in anyway, same goes for having a cigar with a glass of purple drink.

Ill rarely smoke but when I do I smoke Blacks while I drink. Since I rarely smoke the effects are extremely relaxing. (I might smoke a packs worth in an entire year...)

That said, I can't stand the smell or effects of cigarettes any other time.

I REALLY enjoy a real cigar but one will knock me out if I finish it.

My mom smokes about a pack a week, my grandma like 3 packs. Shit's disgusting, she's always coughing up shit and was just diagnosed with beginning stages of lung cancer. All that smoke around the house makes my close and shit smell. On topic though, they both say it's relaxing for them. But after that long, I guess it's just relaxing because of your addiction to them, and satisfying it when you start craving.

Lots did/do it to fit in or it was "cool", like old movies, seeing the star actor smoking a big cigar etc, or in school, your buddies did it so you do it too to fit in.
