Honestly, I'm from the like, third largest city in Iowa, which is connected to about, 4 other cities, so I don't think I really have the typical Iowa experience.

Des Moines, our capital, is shit. We have no major league sports teams, we have little else besides corn, and a lot of free time.

Yeah, the Iowa college football team is stupidly popular, even here, about an hour away from the school itself. When I was in high school, I worked at a bagel place, and people would come in on game days really early to buy some food for the trip, and they were the douchiest assholes in the world.

Those polls show Iowa being crazy outliers, both good and bad, on every issue. I grew up in Madison, 2 hours away, I have no insight. I don't get it either.

They think Iran's election wasn't rigged, but think that the Obama administration should take a stronger stance against the Iranian electoral crisis.

I lived there from 05-early 07. Was training at Miletich's gym and working part time at the Best Buy in Davenport. Sam Hogar got me the job there...he was working there after his stint on TUF. I probably have a bit of a skewed view of Iowa due to the circumstances of me leaving. (my ex-wife cleaned out my bank account while I was visiting friends in S. Korea and when I got back I was homeless and broke) Which, btw, if you see a cute 5' strawberry blonde girl with green eyes and a shamrock tattoo on the front of her hip, driving a BMW 5 series convertible...tell her I said what's up.
