    Bryan Fuller leaves Heroes again...

This just in: Bryan Fuller exits 'Heroes' | Heroes, News | Ausiello Files | EW.com

Just as Heroes was gaining some creative momentum comes word of another setback: Bryan Fuller has vacated his post as consulting producer. The acclaimed Pushing Daisies auteur tells me that he left to focus on developing new projects for NBC, and not (as some have speculated) due to creative differences with series creator Tim Kring.

Oh, and as a primary spoiler for the first few episodes:

    Spoiler: show
Claire has some gay scenes with her college roommate. If the response is positive, they're going to make her bisexual.

I don't plan on watching the show anymore... but I thought you guys who will still watch it would find the news interesting.

I bet it'll hold its ratings just because of that.

I'm still shocked her lesbo room mate is Madeline Zima. Season 3 of Californication is going to look a lot different to me after this. haha

Also, to quote Kring on Season 4:

One of the big issues we’ll be exploring is how should a person with abilities live his or her life. Should they try to assimilate by hiding their abilities, or should they live more honestly, exposing their powers to the world?
Claire will be at the forefront of that issue, starting college in Washington, D.C., and trying to discover, as all college kids do, who she really is. But re-adjusting to normal life won’t be easy, especially when Claire is caught in the crossfire of her parent’s divorce and a mysterious suicide on campus.
Meanwhile, Peter and Nathan are trying to get their lives back on track. Peter is trying to be a hero in the purest sense — saving on life at a time. But that means cutting himself off from friends and family. It’s only when Peter makes a romantic connection with a fascinating new “powerful” woman that he’ll find out that life means staying connected to others. Nathan is discovering new things about himself everyday, mostly due to the fact that he’s actually Sylar.
Matt will have to live with the guilt of what he did to Sylar; making his attempts to live a normal life with his wife and child virtually impossible.

I was under the impression that most people wanted to see battle,s villains, explosions and powers, not heroes mopping over the fact they got a super cool power.

I disagree. Most people seem to have liked season one which didn't have many battles or explosions. It was very much focused on the implications of the powers on otherwise normal people, how Hiro's dreams of fantastical journeys made him search for macguffins, how Matt's psychic abilities made him a good but tortured police officer, how Peter's abilities made him completely freak out.

That's what the show was originally about, they just lost touch of the sensible and riveting plotting that made the dramatic human moments of season one work.

There's really no need to watch past season 1. Having seen all 3 and read S3's thread here, I can say with a fair degree certainty that everyone still watching this show is either doing so to riff it or is a masochist. There's also a small minority(of which I was a part last season) who still hold out hope that the show will somehow u-turn and find the quality it had in S1.

I don't think people liked something that specific about the first season. They enjoyed it because it was somewhat believable in overall (or at least, a few characters were). Every pieces were slowly falling in place, and you had the impression the show was going somewhere.

As far as I can remember, not many people liked Claire in the first season. No one gave a shit about her internal struggle, and her fear to be rejected. People wanted to see normal people use power to discover the "heroes" universe.

Also, people wanted to see nuclear dude blow up when Sylar attacked him, people wanted to see Sylar vs Peter duel in the future, they wanted to see Peter own the shit out of Sylar in the final...it's not all about action, but when you have power, it's fucking dumb not to use it when it can be used.

What are you talking about? It should be "Claire and Sylar's totally boring 'adventures'!"

I loved S1, then started watching a few episodes from S2 and it was just torture... Whatever happened to Claire's Dad? He was the only character I liked (well Sylar too) from when I watched S1.

Thankfully there is a load of other more entertaining shows on TV to watch. =)

Claire's dad never hits the same levels of epicness he did after Company Man.

Sylar is at times cool, most of the time he is highly annoying
