    Sprint phones?

So my phone keeps dying and it's time for me to get a new phone. Any sprint users have any advice?

I currently have the Employee friends and family plan with unltd text, sprint mobile-to-mobile, sprint vision web, and enough minutes . I hardly ever go over so my bill is always like $32. With this plan the best phone I can get is the Samsung Exclaim. I think it's the best, but have no clue.

I could get a smartphone and pay the $15/mo. for inet, but is it worth it? (half my bill right there....) I really like the iPhone, but sadly Sprint has nothing comparable. Some phones I've looked into are the Instinct, but I've read pretty shitty things about it and the inet didn't seem to work that great. Palm Pre dunno much about (i think it can't play "all" music?). Blackberry 8830 and pearl I tried the internet and I don't like the mouse scrolly ball (easy to get used to?).

Any info will be appreciated. TY Iono o.o/

Signing your name is a bit redundant, or maybe I'm just nitpicking, Iono.

    Blackberry Tour

I have the Verizon version, iirc the Sprint version comes with WiFi so that makes it even better. Get it! You won't regret it.

As far as iPhone goes... http://seekingalpha.com/article/1550...es-over-iphone

How easy is it to get used to the scroll ball? I tried it in the store, didn't really like it

It's easy enough, sometimes you scroll too far. This should be in tech!

If you're not going to utilize a smart phone aka not get the internet, then just buy a flip phone. No reason to carry around half a brick for the sex appeal.

Your best bet is the Palm Pre. It's as close to the iPhone as you're gonna get. You certainly don't NEED internet on a phone, but once you have it you'll wonder how you lived without it. Go to a store and test it out. Does Sprint have like a 'try before you buy' so you get like a month to make sure you like it? I don't think you'll be disappointed by it.

Some survey results were released today saying that 84% of Pre users were pleased with their purchase. Go.

Ive had the palm pre for a month, got it after dumping AT&T and my iphone 3G.

The apps on the pre, do not compare to whats out there for the iphone....however its extremely easy to install third party "homebrew" apps on the pre, without the bullshit of voided warranty like the iphone.

As for music..... itunes picks up the pre as a ipod, and all my playlists went on the pre without any issues.

Internet browser is very very good, I prefer it over the iphone....

anything else you wanna know, just send me a PM

Read up on the palm pre, don't think I trust it too much. The BB Tour seems very interesting tho. Especially for the SimCard. Which is a major plus when going out of the country.

Sadly they won't have Wifi till early 2010, but I have no idea how useful it'd be to me anyways >.>a Especially if u get the inet package anyways?

Thanks for the info. If anyone has anymore it'd be totally appreciated!

I heard in one of the tech podcasts i listen to that you can't use d/l'd music from Itunes on the pre only music you physically burned is this true? I want to quit At&t but not until they make a better phone or Iphone goes multi carriers.

The Samsung Exclaim is the phone I've really been wanting. And your plan sounds a lot like mine and I think you're right that the Exclaim is the best for it.

The sprint tour does not have wireless. In fact the verizon and sprint tour are exactly the same phone except for looks and the SIM it comes in it (if it comes with one in the sprint version).

Blackberries are awesome phones in general but if you are going to get one you might as well be stuck with the current best for the two years. Get the tour 9630.
