Anyone know WireCAD?
I got a job at a broadcasting consultant place doing shit work. They're in need of people to do wirecad, and I'm hoping I could be it. I used to do AutoCAD for Civil Engineering place for four years. Anyone who knows wirecad and autodesk's ACAD can tell me how different and similar they are? Will it take a lot of learning different things to be functional at it? Any tips or anythign would be greatly appreciated.
Also does anyone know where I can download a demo of wirecad?
Thanks for any help and info! Iono ^^)/

I will preface this by saying that I have not worked with either piece of software, but I work for a company that does a lot of CAD work and am responsible for ordering and supporting the software for our employees.
It's my understanding that WireCAD is a dumbed-down version of AutoCAD, mostly used for displaying block diagrams or wiring layouts (we do a lot of AV work, so it's be showing the house diagram and how the components will be wired up) whereas AutoCAD is much more technical and designed to show 3-D layouts of parts and materials.
