Failed To Send(19) PoL

Okay I tried fixing this myself but the only solutions I found were 2+ years old and didn't work.

What happens is whenever I try to Send/Receive messages I get the error and then...nothing. The common fix is to reinstall PoL viewer but that didn't work. It happens on both of my PCs and on both of my accounts. PC1 is Windows XP MCE SP3 and PC2 is Windows Vista Home Premium so it isn't an OS issue afaik. Any ideas(other than updating my PS3's FFXI)?

So reinstalling FFXI on Vista/XP doesn't solve the issue for me but I decided to try running it under Wine again and now the Friends List works. Retarded but hey it works.
