DirectX Update???

Finally finished downloading the 1.5 update and it told me I needed the latest version of DirectX, which I was pretty sure I already had. And now it's downloading patch files from 2006. Anyone else get this shit?

Edit: Finished downloading what looks like every DirectX update in the past five years and didn't actually install anything. And now everytime I try to lauch it goes to download 'em all again.

Not sure about Aion, but on L2 after you installed the game, it always told you that you needed DirectX, regardless what version you had.

I remember that Aion auto installed DirectX for me, even tho i got lastest version

sometimes games need some akward directx relase like may 2008 of dx 9.0c (as example) to work properly. don't worry, should fix itself once it went through all the old stuff.

Got it.. had to download the DirectX update directly from Microsoft's website to get it to install, but now it's working.
