I got an account banned long time ago, I am trying to get it back for the new expansion but SE support replayed to me with this:

Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.


We are contacting you regarding the ban on your PlayOnline account XXXXXXXX.

This permanent ban was issued due to the identification of a repeated violation. A compromised account case proved that there was no evidence of access of a third party to the account at the time. The account ban will therefore remain permanently.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

I've tried the call center and one guy told me try to log-in as a guest to solve LM-31 error, the other guy told me that I should call the JP call center since my account isn't EU... wtf lol

what i want:
1-Anyone can share some useful information about the perma banned that i got (I never used 3rd pt).
2- Do you agree with me that FFXI support unprofessional?

More of a rqt thing... and you were permabanned and haven't contested it in how long? Doubt there is any getting it back. Why did you get banned in the first place?

Why did you get banned in the first place?

"issued due to the identification of a repeated violation" they didn't specify what I have done, well what I remember is my mule account was hacked in the same month, and I retrieved it

I read their statement as that they have proof that your account was not accessed by a third party and thus was not hacked i.e. they are banning the account because they think you made a fraudulent rollback. That's what I read anyways.

I have no idea how you came to that. It states a repeated violation and since you get 1 rollback that doesn't fit at all (yes you can get more than one but its unlikely and luck based)

It also says there was no evidence of being accessed by a third party during the time of the violations, so they performed an investigation and there was no other IPs logging into the account during that time (this is obviously how they track whether an account has been hacked).

The guy obviously cheated/hacked/sold gil/whatever and got caught.

Or it could be a combination. Ie he got caught cheating probably had a few marks on the record that weren't enough for them to contact him and then when they did jail him he claimed haxor

Except none of that in any way supports he was banned for fraudulent rollbacks. They do an investigation and then they roll you back, not the other way around.

What was your characters name that got banned? I'm sure that would answer all the questions regarding whether you botted/sold char and rolled back/whatever else.

I personally think you're hiding it on purpose as so no one here can guess it because that will give you a straight answer. "FFXIV" username, "Playonline Account XXXXXX". But hey, I could be wrong.

You know, I wouldn't be too suspect. I did have my account stolen and sold. I was able to retrieve it somehow, I guess the costumer support person was just super nice. I didn't have to do much, I was really surprised. It was also like 2 years later sorta.

I only say this b/c I know a guy that did it twice and got like 3 gs each time, somewhere someone is fking irate. Or they lived in UAE and lost pocket change

Oh I'm sure it happens. Probably more often than not too. I might just be an outlier or something. I did get a lot of angry /ts from the LS mates that helped the guy out though. I just told them sorry that it happened to them, but that's the chance you take when you buy an account. They thought the guy sold the account cause of all the stuff that was on it, but I told them no, I was the OG.

Yeah I had a friend that sold his account then when he say the guy built a relic on it got it back lol
