Managing to make something look the same doesn't imply it is the same. What's the point of running 8 programs to make your OS look like windows 7 if it's not going to run the same..?
I'd be more interested in making Windows 7 look like XP (which I, in turn, made look like 95/98). Does it have the "Classic" visual style option as usual?
Yes, it does.
While I do like some of 7's shortcut/quick options. I've opted for now to just use the old "Quicklaunch", titled taskbar names, etc.
As for the startbar (Since classic start is not in W7 RTM). The Vista-esque Start > Programs drives me insane. Since you cannot instantly hover over the selected folder (left to right, right to left) for quick selections.
So Instead I just pinned all the programs which have definate use, to my start.

Also I'm aware there is a third-party application which brings back the old "Classic" start. But why would I bother with something that has to autorun at start, take up memory, etc.
Why am I going to use up processes just to make something 'look' like Windows 7?
I hear you. I usually orient my icons around the desktop and keep the ones I access the most on my quickstart menu.
Uh... How do you get the old quicklaunch to work...? I have the 7100 build and there doesn't seem to be an option for it or i've over looked it :/
Forgot how I did it, just google "Quicklaunch taskbar Windows 7" or something. There was instructions on how to do it on some website.
edit: nvm was bookmarked

You're the best, thank you!

This whole pinning/start/icons nonsense wouldn't be a problem if you installed the macro program I posted in the stickySeek 2.0 script ftw
