A very cool concept. In theory opening up the potential field of movement should make the game more complex. I am very curious on how it will control. I also wonder if the game will remain soundless in space. The game looks very, very nice. Unsurprisingly it will be quite demanding. I think a console port is out of the question.
Futuremark reveals Shattered Horizon's system requirements | GameConnectFirst thing to know about Shattered Horizon is that it doesn't work on Windows XP since it's a DX10 title so you'll need to have either Windows Vista or 7 installed on your PC. As for the hardware required, the minimum is: a Core 2 Duo E6600 or Athlon X2 5600+, 2GB of RAM, a GeForce 8800 GT or Radeon HD 3870 (at least 256MB of VRAM), and 1.5GB of storage space.
The recommended requirements include a Core 2 Quad Q6600 or Phenom II X4 940, 2GB of RAM, the same 1.5GB of HDD/SSD space, and a GeForce GTX 260 or Radeon HD 4870 (512+ MB VRAM).
There seems to be very little buzz for this game, despite how impressive it looks. Haven't seen any marketing. Considering it is digital download-only and very demanding it might not reach its high potential in sales... noting that this is Future Mark's first game, that could be a big problem.
