    Can my PC/Laptop run Aion?

    I've been reading up alot on Aion and i think its a good game to start on, but I have a small problem with my system specs for my PC/laptop, and if they can run it, how well do you think either one would do? Aslo, if this isnt the right place to be posting this, then tell me where, and i'll repost it there, thanks.

    Here are my Laptop Specs:

    OS: 32-Bit Vista
    Model/Make: Acer Aspire 5920
    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 @ 2.00Ghz
    Graphics Card:Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family <- is what i think i'm gonna have a problem with here.
    RAM: 2.00 GB

    PC:

    OS: Windows XP SP2
    Model/Make: PackardBell 353/Packard Bell NEC
    CPU: 2.94 Ghz Intel Pentium 4
    Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS 256 MB DDR2
    RAM: 512MB

    If you need more info on either of the comps, just ask, but thats about all i think you should need right now,

    This, even though the card itself isn't that great. I'd shoot myself in the foot before touching integrated on any modern 3D-based application.

    With the laptop you're pretty much boned.. Intel's 965 Express chipset contains only a baseline gpu and will almost certainly choke on this game's engine. And upgrading is a real problem because upgrades are expensive, impossible to find new (they're almost exclusively an OEM part), and are a pain to install. Oh, and you need special cooling pipes that fit your notebook's case too.

    For your desktop, here's the requirements off the box:

    Minimum PC Requirements

    • Microsoft Windows® XP SP2
    • 2.8GHz CPU or equivalent
    • 1GB RAM
    • NVIDIA® 5900 Ultra with 128MB RAM / ATI® Radeon® x700 with 128MB RAM or higher
    • 15GB hard disk space
    • DVD-ROM drive
    • DirectX® 9.0c (6/2008 update)
    • Sound device
    • Broadband Internet connection

    Recommended PC Requirements

    • Microsoft Windows® XP SP2/ Vista
    • Dual Core CPU 2.0GHz or equivalent
    • 2GB RAM
    • NVIDIA® 6800 with 256MB RAM / ATI® Radeon® x800 with 256MB or higher
    • 15GB hard disk space
    • DVD-ROM drive
    • DirectX® 9.0c (6/2008 update)
    • Sound device
    • Broadband Internet connection

    I have the exact same laptop and I run Aion fine for doing small shits such as grinding, crafting, questing, missions, of course I wouldn't try abyss PvP but it does the job fine and it's very stable (more than my main comp =/)

    (I play my cleric on the laptop)

    Settings might be low, but you'll run just fine.

    I laptop game too, and I only lag in towns. Which a simple Shift-F12 gets rid of.

    I have that same graphics card on my back up PC, it worked great with Aion but you will want to invest in more than 1GB of ram, I had to throw in 2GB's just to get it to run decent.

    Going to have to go into specifics, are you getting an error? Hard crashing to black screen? What?

    Hmm can this PC run Aion on max setting without any kind of lag? Buying one from dell because I have no idea to buy my own . Hoping this one would last me for 4-5 years too.

    Studio XPS 9000
    OS: Window 7 64 bit
    CPU: i7-920
    Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 220, 1024mb
    RAM: 3GB DDR3 Tri-Channel SDRAM at 1066MHz - 3 DIMMs

    The RAM and the CPU are great, the GFX however is a low-end one (I'm not entirely sure...), i'd recommand getting another GPU if possible.

    Yep, the gt220 is a rebranded 9500. It's not completely terrible, but it'd be shameful to play with that on an i7 If it -has- to be Dell, I would go with the XPS 8000 to save some money. The i5 750 is pretty comparable to the i7 920. Go with the cheapest graphics option and then buy your own seperate upgrade like the gtx260, will be cheaper than upgrading through Dell.

    I agree. Add some ram to the PC and play on that.

    BK!!! You bastid howarya!

    Need to know where/when it's crashing.. is it happening everywhere, or just in high-traffic areas and during massive PvP like fortress raids? Does it happen when the game changes resolution to play or finish a cutscene?

    * Microsoft Vista (64bit)
    * Intel Core2 Duo CPU 2.10GHz
    * 4GB RAM
    * NVIDIA® GeForce 9600M GT with 512MB VRAM

    Not really a computer buff so I'm mostly copying what I found under system properties. Will this run Aion all right?

    Most likely, yes. My 8600 GT could run Aion pretty well in 1280x, and I doubt you're gonna use much higher resolution on a laptop.

    For what it's worth, my laptop has

    Windows XP Professional
    Intel Pentium M Processor 2.0GHz
    1 GB RAM
    nVidia Quadro FX Go1400 256MB (fail graphics card)

    and runs Aion, albeit with minimum settings and a lot of FPS lag. So technically anything better than that can run Aion. I'd really recommend a better gpu and another gig of ram over what I have though lol
