Hey all,

I have been working on this for a few months now and thought I would post here to get some feedback and new ideas!

It allows you to select two sets of gear and buffs then compares the differences between the two for different scenarios and spits out some calculations. For example:

Flash Calculator Calculates:
* Recast Timer
* CE & VE
* Decay Rate. Decay Rate, tells you how much (percentage) of your Flash VE Decays before you cast your next Flash.

Cure Calculator Calculates Cure IV:
* CE & VE
* CE & VE with Sentinel
* Casting Timer

Utsu Calculator Calculates:
* Ni & Ichi Casting and Recast Times

PLD/RDM Calculator Calculates:
* Bind, Sleep, Dispel, and Sleep's CE, VE, Casting Time, and Recast Time
* Stoneskin
* Phalanx

Magic Defense Calculator Calculates
* HP
* MP
* Magic Damage Taken
* Magic Defense

New to Version 1.4
* Added Idle Calculator
* Added SubJob Selection to the applicable Calculators
* Added a Cure Cheat Calculator
* Added a Windower Scripts Tab
* Added the ability to save gear sets

Most people won't step foot on that website, so you might want to include exactly what this does in the initial post. Use the bullets feature if needed and make it nice and formatted.

Coming from a new user.. a download is probably not going to be trusted.

Common derail but just sayin, has anyone here read the Allah' Thf forums? Since I read many FF forums, I have a good comparison. The detail, accuracy, and variety you'll find on Thf related topics are far better there than what you'll get anywhere else. Allah's niche is the job forums, not drama (KI's flavor), and not the general & endgame (BG's specialty). Maybe their Pld forums aren't so bad either ^^; (I haven't read em b4)

I would but I don't think it does validation or lookups, plus there are graphs...

They are alright, at least tryin to fight the turtle tank way of thinking! Pretty dead these days though

Seconding the google docs idea, make yur own site on code.google.com like my tool or KParser did.

Also, you can get ideas from my tool for yours for the formatting as example.

I thought about that also since the original idea that pushed me to continue Brimstone dmg calc, is to utimately finish it to something similar to the live dmg calc for WoW.

BUT after a while i discovered that ff11 is a lot more complicated game in terms of figuring out actual precise formulas, as much for dmg dealt than for dmg taken. Conclusion: i'm more working towards basic data/formulas before going anywhere further, and i can assure you there is TON to do (probably way too much for me alone).
So in your case, i think it's even worse since there is even less tested data available around for dmg taken compared to dmg dealt... so my advice would be to drop that idea of "going live" for the moment sorry . Better to focus on basic things 1st.

I added a link to my google documents, however the drop down boxes for the gear choices and graphs are lost because of google documents.

However if you spell the item names correctly the calculations will still work.

Bravo, very good. Maybe you could add a function for specifically CB damage because all stats (MAB, D, MND) are known.

Yea the whole idea for the Magic Def Calc was for CB survival, but I can add some more functionality for that, i think.
