What do you think of the new lead singer?

He's definitely not Brad Nowell. He doesn't sound bad, but he doesn't sound particularly outstanding either. I think the Sublime reunion is a really bad idea (so does the Nowell family). So much time has passed, and now you want to try to carry on without the driving force behind your now revered band? The Scott Stapp version of the Doors failed, so will this.

edit: I'm probably pretty jaded though. Sublime was one of the bands I grew up on so my opinion of them is pretty biased

new guys in both are talented and sound fine, but it's not even remotely close to the same, at all

Bud and Eric should have stuck with LBDA/Shortbus or at least formed another pseudo-supergroup with the dudes from Slightly Stoopid.

Bringing this guy in to reform Sublime (especially when they said they never would) just seems shallow and pedantic.

Dave Grohl didn't name his new band Nirvana and play 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' nonstop. Maybe this new "Sublime" can look into that concept.
