Hairy Jake
Thoughts:
1.) Wish they had done just the Prince of Persia, not the Dagger of Time story. Parts of what made that story so awesome was how the dagger was a unique and awesomely implemented game feature.
2.) Gyllenhaal (had to google that >.>) looks too ordinary to be a prince, and not rugged enough to be the Prince of Persia.
3.) I think it'll make an OK movie (Bruckheimer's name alone 'll probably make it a blockbuster), but I'm not expecting anything that really shines. Like I said, the Dagger of Time was groundbreaking for a video game, but it's just another plot point in a movie.
4.) Because it's a movie, I feel a lot of the aspects that made the game great are going to be left out. Namely the great chemistry you had between the Prince and Farah because they were completely alone trying to save the world.
5.) Ignore all previous points and be seduced by Gemma Arterton's voice~
He sounded almost exactly like the prince at the very beginning of the trailer, then dropped off in the middle. Looks pretty decent.
fapfapfapfap
Has awesome potential. Guarantee to fail if its not at LEAST 2hrs long though. any less and they would be all over the place like Xmen Origins
Looks pretty awesome. Not expecting a great movie, but I'm pretty confident it will be damn entertaining.
Hmm...
How many people are going to go to this just for that one fan-pleasing scene where the Prince runs along a wall? I wonder.
Seems way too cliche for me. Apocalypses have never been well handled by Hollywood. I have severe doubts that this will be on par with Pirates of the Caribbean 1, as the Prince seems here like he'll be cliche'd and forced into the conventional plot line pairs of romance and save-the-world. Doomed to suffer under the Tomb Raider video game movie syndrome? We shall see.
Not bad graphics. Almost looks life-like.
Has potential cant wait.
The movie will have my heart if the prince jumps to his death and uses the dagger to rewind time then does it again. "Third time's the charm" he would say. It would confuse the fuck out of people who haven't played the game - but it would make this the best videogame movie ever.
Test Audiences Love Prince of Persia Movie - Prince Of Persia - Kotaku
According to film producer Jerry Bruckheimer, the movie is screening great — no, better than great. Greater than great! Says the producer, "What we found when we tested the movie a few weeks ago, and it tested extraordinarily high which surprised me because I always think these things are going to fail but this one turned out great; the women were a surprise because I thought we made a terrific movie for the boys because the girl is beautiful but the women flipped over this film."
Continuing, he adds, "I've never had a score where the parents, there is violence, too, because it's PG-13, but the parents rated the film a hundred percent with an excellent or very good which has never happened before. So it's one of these movies that we know they'll take their children to go see it which is a huge advantage for a film, that parents can say, 'Hey, it's cool. My kid can see it.'"
Game movies can't be good! Must.. not.. get.. hopes.. up... /skeptical
I for one can't wait for this, it's a must see for me.
Looks ok, though I would have been more intrested if it followed the plot from the first game.
He is a sexy man, no joke.

So word is Ubisoft is releasing a new Sands of Time game to coincide with the release of the movie. But it's not a movie in game form, but a continuation of the story that's more or less just trying to take advantage of the popularity of the film.
Spoilered for those who haven't played through the games
Spoiler: show
So was it a good test screening or did women just orgasm at the sight of hot, shirtless, men?but the women flipped over this film.
Edit: I'll probably see it whether it's good or bad anyways. How involved do you guys think PoP acrobatics will be?
