360 Controller dying

So, I've had my 360 for about a year at this point. Primarily it's been used for watching movies, since the TV I had couldn't display games properly. (Slightly blury, small font on RPGs, etc)

However, for Christmas I got a new 32" Samsung HDTV so I have been trying to catch up on all the gaming I've missed out on. So, needless to say I've been playing quite a bit the past few weeks.

I've had issues before where the controller would randomly die/disconnect a few times in about 5 minutes, but normally it would happen like 3 times and then be gone for the next 4 months. Today it refused to stay on more than about 15 seconds at a time.

Is this a common problem? I would say batteries are the issue but I put in a brand new pair of Energizer Ultimate Super Fantastic Mega Lithium-way-too-pricey batteries about a week ago.

It's a problem. Keep a spare 360 controller on hand. I had one start failing during a CoP mission and the failure showed itself by knocking my keyboard out.

Hmm, maybe the connection from the controller to battery pack isn't aligning properly. Do you have a plug and play kit or a different battery pack to fiddle around with? Never had trouble with controllers, but I could tell you backwards and forwards how to take the damn system apart I've had to fiddle with it so much over the years. XD Hope you get her working Sano!

I have this problem with my play and charge batteries. Never heard of it with regular AAs
