ipod classic vs Iphone/Itouch (sound quality onry)

So, after a week of owning my Audio Techinia m50s, I were getting doubtful on their sound quality. My mp3 player is a shitty source though and my laptop was much better, but still not the sound I wanted.

My friend wanted to test out my headphones and tried them on his Iphone (first generation I believe) and we both agreed it sounded fantastic. (Since it doesn't play .flac, I would convert a .flac from my laptop to a 320 kbps mp3 and that file would sound better on his Iphone than the flac would on my laptop).

That being said, I was interested in the Ipod classic. I was wondering how the sound compares to that of the Iphone. Idk if the technology is the same between the two, but if it sounds anywhere close to Iphone, I would be really interested in picking one up. I was looking at the 80 gb model btw, if that helps with anything.

Haven't noticed any difference between an iPod video (2006, classic) and an ipod touch. No idea about iphone though, never used one.

there is no sound hdw differences between a touch and an iphone

edit: also v0 > 320, you will NOT hear any differences.

I didn't notice a sound quality difference from iPod Classic > Nano > Touch but I did notice a difference going to my iPhone 3GS.
