I just spent half the day upset over the fact I'm losing my two ratties tomorrow, and I got my other two CSET test results back. Pass X2.

This means I managed to get all 4 parts of the CSET right on the first try. Which is insanely hard to do (the killer usually being the 4th part). My brain can't handle the two extremes. I think I'm going to end up developing a brain clot.

I think that the animals have a sense that you are another animal and you bring food.

Most creatures after a certain amount of time realize that you bring food and water. Even my turtles and the fish come over to the edge of their tanks and splash at me when I walk by if they are hungry.

Rats are pretty intelligent too. They respond to their name getting called, and can learn some commands. (There's vids out there of people training rats to perform tricks, like putting a ball in a hoop) They also tend to lick your fingers if they like you (I guess studies suggest they aren't licking it for taste like some animals). So ya they know to some degree who I am, thought they probably thing I'm just an insanely huge rat.

My wifes rats were trained. You could call their names and they would come. Each one knew their own name too if you called one the other wouldn't come you would have to call both their names to get both rats.

haha ya mine are the same. They are also potty trained, which is awesome since I like to let them play on my bed a lot.

Best thing too I bath them in the tub, and they know whose turn it is to get shampoo'd n' stuff. And they both know when it's time to get out, and go to the edge where I'll pick them up with a towel.
