Were having a lot of articles and information posted, that is good, but Im seeing a load of links posted randomly without any meat to the topics or any real description or posting of the article.

Let me re-iterate something, unless youve built up a significant amount of rapport being a long time member of the BG community, posting random links to your articles isnt going to make you any real friends.

So saying that, I would request that all articles that are posted be quoted here, not everyone can click on your link, so they might just rather read here then visit your site later. Lets be nice and friendly.

Also keep the random bashing of who owns what out of the conversation, we all have who we like and dislike and their illustrious back stories full of depravity and thievery, but lets just remember it and bring it up every 5 seconds.

(also alla isnt owned by IGE anymore, hasnt been for a long time, GET OVER IT)

This is awesome, thanks Sonomaa. There is no need to start forum wars before the game is even out, especially considering the fact that the people that are running the different sites have no real conflict with each other (or they are resolved quickly and responsibly). They only conflict that has been because of people outside of those sites making it something out of nothing.

That's ok, I don't mind quoting the articles we translate and post. Only reason I post them here is to give any future FFXIV players any information there is. Traffic redirects from this site is fairly low and I couldn't care less about that part.

Just saw this thinking i was in the Curse/Zyuu scam thread, lol. Do you even remember the paper trail that had to be uncovered to even prove that it was owned by IGE in the first place? Following that, a simple announcement that 'we sold IGE' is enough to convince you that ties have been severed? Really?

Hmmm. IGE mentioned again and again in the Affinity Media document. That’s certainly curious.

Section 6(a)(iii), which begins on page 15, particularly held of my interest, in that the document begins to talk about Affinity Media’s subsidiaries, and the various interactions in which they have engaged. IGE’s relationship with Yantis Enterprises is mentioned, for example. This fascinating section continues on to page 16, where the financial relationships between IGE and various known Affinity subsidiaries is specifically laid out. Among the companies mentioned is ?Itemmania.com, Ltd.? (which is clearly mentioned in Pierce’s little bon voyage email) and companies like Allakhazam, along with several individuals.

In fact, section 6(a)(iii) mentions IGE no less than eight times.

The document details a number of the more substantial business deals in which Affinity has recently been engaged. In so doing, IGE is certainly featured prominently. What is most curious about the document is what it doesn’t say. It makes no mention of the supposed ?sale? of IGE. Not one word

Now, you certainly are entitled not to give a shit. It takes a pretty big geek to actually give a damn who owns what website they may or may not use. Personally, I still frequent Zam because Elmer rules and I don't mind giving him traffic. But you shouldn't make blanket statements like that when there's so much smoke being blown up everybodies ass, or you risk some loser like me coming in with fact-guns blazing.

I don't care either way, but sighting a court case and a stock filing from the same year is not evidence because they are related to past conduct.

If you have something more recent then use it. If you don't then stop hating.

If you're under the impression I found this myself or had the capability to do so, you'd be disappointed. I was just pointing out the paper trail BS it took to find out that they were lieing through their teeth the first time, and offered more recent documents others found towards their latest web of lies to suggest that it's never that clear cut.

Like I said, Elmer rules and I still go to ZAM all the time because of it. But to scream "GET OVER IT alla hasn't been owned by IGE for a long time" is grasping at straws.

As I already said, the "timeline trail of lies" you present isn't one. It is just evidence that people don't understand the operational timeframe of things like court or stock filings.

The point is only that it is not evidence either way.

A lawsuit against IGE is probably going to mention ties to Affinity Media because the actions relevant to the suit probably happened while AM was still owner of the company.

THE Allakhazam (yes, there is one) posted that it was sold. That was good enough for me. Ever since the sale, the only time IGE is mentioned in the office IRC channel is to laugh at people that still point to us as IGE.
