I've been playing with a few friends for about a year and a half, and I just got two more of my friends into the hobby. Just this morning I got a hell of a deal on some Tau, about $500 worth for about $160, and I felt inspired to ask the BG community abroad if they play.

So, how about it. Do you play?

Gogo gadget Chaos Space Marines. And Terminators. Lots and lots of Terminators. Pretty solid army but I get stomped by Eldar and the local store owner's Ork army when we bump it up to 4K+ points. The guy can set up a 10k Ork army and I shit you not the units take up a good 5x40 all lined up.

I used to love 40k up until the cost of the things caught up to me. Well, that and my inability to make any sort of saving throw.
Seriously lost more than half a Terminator Squad once and I needed a 2+ to save.

Used to play Black Templars back before they actually had any special rules. Really wanted to try Tyranids but I didn't have enough time to paint or money to fund an army of the bastards.

One of my mates once made the mistake of a 10k Point battle with his Dark Angels against Tyranids. It was supposed to be a fight of epic scale, unfortunately for him the Tyranid deployment zone was half the table with models stacked on models (half his army were basic 'gaunts). They'd move them up the battlefield with a broom.

Turned to collecting/painting random models after a while.
What really turned me off it was when GW stopped you from buying "bits" through the website. Fuck paying through the nose for a conversion.

I play 40k (Eldar and Chaos spece mahreens), but I prefer Warhammer Fantasy over it's Sci-fi counterpart. I just love dwarfs.

I just added a Chaos Daemons army, pure Khorne list. I've started using my Tau army as my main, kind of shelving my Space Marines. Ever since the new Blood Angels codex came out, my poor Dark Angels are almost unusable, and I even don't really like using them as Codex Chapter, seeing as Blood Angels are just Codex Chapter +.
