    Tennis in NYC

So i've always been interested in tennis (Played in HS and some in college).
But from what i understand i need a 'tennis permit' which sounds kind of rediculous lol. Anyone have any experience with this? Would possibly be interested in joining a private club or something along those lines also.

FUCK: Posted in wrong section lol Don't know how that happened was in General

it's rather simple, pay like 110 or 120 or something like that get a tennis permit from the parks department that allows you to play at any most nyc city parks. Central park costs an extra umm 10 ish to reserve a court, which btw is absolutely beautiful.

Do people actually check for these permits? I was reading some other forums, that usually courts go unchecked, unless some one files a complaint. Also haven't bought a Racket in about 4-5 Years, any Suggestions? Id say im a 3.0 player or so at this point, im sure i've lost alot of technique over the years, and due to very infrequent play.

As with everything... they only check you when you don't have creds...
