    M62 - Indomitable Will

So, I've been at this for nearly 45 minutes now. I've tried everything. I tried Aegisols from the beginning to kill some of the damage from Multicast, but the fact that there were two of them going off at once, Shell/etc simply aren't stopping me from dying like I need them to.

    My current set is:

    RAV/RAV/RAV
    COM/SYN/MED
    RAV/MED/MED
    SAB/SYN/MED
    RAV/MED/RAV

If I could just get to the point of staggering and killing one, I'd be alright. But I haven't managed to do that yet. I'm using renew 2 times before I can get the first Raktavija's stagger bar to 75%. After that I'm usually out of gas. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I need to do? Or what they did to kill these things?

I've already gotten 3 ultimate weapons and my accessories are all up to date as far as MAG/STR go. All characters are level 5 in 4 different roles too.

Really frustrating me, I've never had this many problems with one fight before.

Take the time and upgrade a few magic resistant accessories, I put 3 witches bracelets on each character, and breezed right through it, it roughly costed me 270k to make 9 bracelets. Their also really handy for the long gui and shao gui fights.

Stack magic resist accessories. Can get about -50% magic defense. Paired with shell, it should be enough to turtle through at least one of them.

Might as well, I knew I was going to regret not upgrading damage resistance accessories eventually.

Gah, back to Eden to farm that fucking Adamantoise for another hour. I can't wait to get destroyed by their upgraded counterparts.

Thanks, will be back if this fails. >_>

Killed in 10:16. Target time was 10:37, only got 3 stars but meh. Happy to have killed it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Managed to cut those 7-8k Multicasts into 1-2k. Cakewalk.

edit: As far as upgrades go, I ended up capping 10 Witch's Bracelets which left me with:

58% MAG resist on Fang and Lightning, 69% on Hope. Considering he has less HP than everyone else, I decided to give him an extra Bracelet to keep him from eating shit.

    Equipment used was:

Fang: 3x Witch's Bracelet, Genji Glove
    Hope: 4x Witch's Bracelet
Lightning: 3x Witch's Bracelet, Growth Egg

Is the target time for obtaining 5 stars? If so, how do you check to know what it is?

Thus far I'm under the impression that target time has the biggest effect of anything. For every second you inch closer to the target time, or go over it, your score decreases by so much. Anything over 13k is 5 stars. Target time and the time you took to kill the mob displays after the fight with the rest of your stats.

STR/MAG has an effect on the target time as well, thus why some people say it's easier to use weapons/accessories that have lower/no STR/MAG bonuses to increase their target time and make it easier to score 5 stars. I think the primary example of this was M64 in which you can actually poison him to death for a 5-star rating, or something along those lines.

I'm not there yet though, so. Just posting what I remember reading.

You can shave a ton of time by making SYN/SYN/SYN instead of letting just one person try to buff everyone. Also cut out a lot of those paradigms with only one healer, they're a total waste.

    SYN/SYN/SYN
    SAB/SAB/SAB
    RAV/RAV/RAV
    COM/RAV/RAV
    COM/COM/RAV
    MED/MED/MED

You'll be done with the fight in 3 minutes.

For this, I preferred Sab/Syn/Syn. I spammed slow and imperil while I got buffed up. Allowed me to go straight from buffs->RavX3 to stagger->quick heal swap, then deprotect and rape before staggers up. Once one is down its easy.

It tells you at the end of the fight what the target time is. If you're really interested in how target time is calculated see here: http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/showp...94&postcount=9

I wouldn't worry about 5 starring it right away if you're having a hard time

A gold watch makes it easier to handle, as does maxing alternative roles

what was the item that negates all magic damage with the negative effect of being unable to cure yourself? and what do you need to upgrade to get it?
I remember reading about it in passing and it'd be perfect for this fight.
beat it without needing it, but just curious now. guess I could go to the random question thread

The magic damage nullification is actually a synthesis group effect, and you need to equip four accessories and the pertinent weapon. Its definitely an option, but a very very expensive one.

Oh, and only certain characters can use it- Feymark/Soulblazer for snow both have the no-physical-damage trait to them. Shamanic/Heretics for Fang

    Ultimate Magic
Description: This ability is the same as Ultimate Physic / Ethereal Mantle but pertaining to magic damage rather than physical damage.
Weapons: Feymark, Soul Blazer, Shamanic Spear, Heretic’s Halberd
    Accessories: Magistral Crest
Levels: There is only one level of this SA. In order to activate it you must equip four Magistral Crests and one of the weapons above.

Weapons: Organyx, Apocalypse, Aldebarans, Sadalmeliks, Tigerclaw, Wyrmfang
Accessories: Cherub’s Crown, Seraph’s Crown, Zealot’s Amulet, Battle Talisman
