Not a tech buff or anything but I had the same problem about 3 years ago. If you're using a wireless router you have to unblock certain ports for FFXI. Sorry I don't really remember much for the fix but it was the same exact issue, d/c'ing every 20 minutes.

I'm having these problems as well, I'm on Optimum Online in New York. A friend of mine on the same ISP is getting R0s at the same time as well. This seems to happen every couple of months for an hour or so, best to just ride it out.

same here, it is pissing me off. Logging right back will give you the downloading screen forever. Need to completely relog. Every 20 mins or so as well....

Same. I'm in NJ on optimum, though an lsmate in europe is having the same problem, so it seems to be a problem on SE's end.

Logging right back will give you the downloading screen forever.

It only takes like a minute or so, then it'll finish actually.

I've been having issues staying connected as well. I can log into the game just fine but after a certain amount of time, I get that red 'hamburger' icon by my name and while linkshell chat is still scrolling by on my screen I get booted out of the game and receive the lobby server error. This has happened to me four times already within a two hour period. I'm in California, on ATT.

Same thing here and I'm in the midwest. I thought it might've been isolated, but apparently not. Even when idling in just about any zone it'll D/C after a set amount of time.

I've been getting this sporadic DC as well today for a few hours now on my main and mules. Red DC icon while my S/R are both above 0 and I can still see local discussions, ls chat, etc. One time spent like 4 or 5 attempts to get logged back in afterwards as POL kept insisting that I wasn't connected to the internet even though my firefox, ventrillo, and downloads said otherwise. I haven't noticed it happening at any particular time interval. I just logged back on from DC and near immediately got DC'ed again.

I just started getting this shit today. I had stayed logged in uninterrupted for a few days up until last night. Now I can't really stay logged in for more than a few minutes at a time without either getting red-dot'd or just noticing that NPCs/mobs aren't loading then an abrupt d/c. (pc on ATT DSL with a netgear router/modem 2-in-1... Valefor server as well.)

Been getting this for awhile, then Wed/Thurs were fine and I just started getting it today on at Kirin.

Optimum Online, NY. I think it has to be an Optimum Online issue cause my brother is playing Aion and he gets lag spikes when I dc today. Edit: On PC also, forgot to add.
