u can do

Jacaranda Log (101) till 100
-buying J.logs and selling J.lumber is almost the same price.. so its not so bad choice.

Lancewood Log (99), then J.logs
- Lance logs are more expensive than Lance lumbers but alot more cheaper the J.logs.

The minimum level is 15 levels below the subcraft. That will guarantee a break but allow the recipe to be attempted.

I think if you are much higher (let's say 8 levels below, but I'm too lazy to look it up), there is a non zero probability to complete the synth.

You need to be 45 Smithing to do this the sub cap is 60 so 15lvls below is 45.

So far I am at 99.1, I am finding my best bet is either primate staves -> kinkobos when they're on the ah, or jacaranda logs -> lumber -> dweomer knife when the supply gets low

at level 98 the best way to skill up is with lance wood logs until lvl 99; after that I would say jacaranda logs.

You win, I'll bow out of this one! I already dealt with my fiance tonight who:
1.) is mid-what comes after PMS
2.) 3 glasses of wine deep
3.) stressed out about wedding planning
4.) Is not happy our plans for next weekend got squashed tonight when I got a call about an old roommates bachelor party next Sat night out of town

99.9, Im definitely going to see after server merge break synthing iron splitters @ 52 smithing is way cheaper, ESPECIALLY with artisans advantage.

Im averaging .1 an ingot so expect a ss of 100 wwing sometime.... this month >_>;
