Looking to buy a new TV for cheap. Suggestions?

Was looking into buying a TV for a good deal. I had one lined up today from Newegg, only to have my bank block the charge as it was deemed a strange payment based on recent transactions. Go back to the website after i get it sorted, and of course it's sold out. I am beyond raging over it but I'm hoping anyone would have any suggestions as to another site or any sales that they know of for Memorial Day etc...

40 - 46 LCD almost any brand is ok and how much of a difference is 60hz and 120hz

I use a 60hz (because I got it for 650~ 47" when all the other lcds were 1500~. It's olevia and was originally 1200 I believe. (got it when they went bankrupt and got it 50%+ off clearance).

You should probably consider yourself lucky, while searching I figured out the tv you were going to purchase often has audio problems when using HDMI and switching sources on the tv.

List prices on yours for easier reference! But yeah I'm tired of searching for now I personally avoid refurbished at all costs. Vizio is ok brand I guess. AOC is offbrand. As is Arion. If you are limited in price alot, I'd just hit up a good price LG 720p plasma tv for around 450-500.

Inherent other fees such as power consumption increase also apply. (I just graduated college, and huge lcds eat enough power as it is).

actually I looked into that when I purchased my 58" plasma, people have hooked up kill-a-watt monitors to both LCD and Plasma and found very little difference between them. The only thing I'd say might be a problem is the heat, it's not that terrible but if you have say... a small room and no AC I'd maybe consider something else.

Still, I'd just buy a fan and not worry about contrast ratios and refresh rates whatsoever.
