Rmt are around, don't think iv seen them in sky or sea tho. Think they mostly buy and sell now more then camp then sell.

how the hell you block an entire country's IPs? that's a lot of IPs

IP addresses are logically grouped by geographic region, c/o IANA. You only realistically have to block a very small number of addresses that host the core netop devices that link <insert country here> to the rest of the internet at large to achieve total denial to that country's users.
