A little girl became a big hero after walking several blocks to get help for her dad.
Alesaundra Tafoya, a three-year-old California girl, trekked to the nearby fire station on Friday after her father collapsed in the family's living room.
"[I] took a mixture of medication I wasn't supposed to at the time, a bed time dose, and I guess I collapsed," Frank Tafoya told KOVR News in Manteca, California.
When Alesaundra found him, and he didn't wake up, she went outside and walked to Firehouse 243. She and her parents had passed it often, and the young girl was told that if she needed help, that was the place to go.
"I've been here over 20 years, it's the first time I've had a three-year-old walk up to the fire station," said Captain Robert Villalovoz of the Manteca Fire Department.
Alesaundra told firefighters that her father was "frozen."
"She walked us down to the house, and there was her dad sitting in the living room needing medical care," Villalovoz told KOVR.
According to doctors, if not for her quick action, Alesaundra's dad would surely have died.
