What did you guys think of it? It seemed to be mostly about God, the military and how great the US is. The military seemed to be the main topic.

Kuya would you say you are a passionate man?
Got a transcript? The neocon vomit is pretty hard to tolerate, but her nasally, smug voice makes it unlistenable.
Don't have one yet.
Anyway, i, for some reason, have a sudden interest in analysing their beliefs. Not surprising though, most psychologists or would be psycholists have that habit of wanting to know why people think certain things or taxonomizing their thoughts.
With that said, i'll see if i can find a transcript, and you tell me what you think, alleya.
The whole neocon thing feels like a job for the sociologists to me. I can't even begin to unravel the tangled web of systematic deconstruction of rational thought that must go in to creating a person who actually buys that. Or they could just be sociopaths like Cheyney.
As for Palin/Beck/et. al, I don't think there's anything remarkable about them from a psychological standpoint. I think they're just doing what all politicians do: they're cynically abusing the uneducated and fringe elements of society to push a "new" form of ideology that will place them at the forefront of a "movement". Rather than trying to be noticed for their contributions and hard work, they're simply trying to manufacture the end result. The main culprit in its so far (somewhat limited) success has been the willingness of the mass media to give the "movement" far more suction than it actually possesses because it allows them to drudge up controversial subjects. The two feed each other like a snake eating its own tail. In reality this movement is no different from the same grab-bag of crazies republicans and libertarians have been courting for decades, but the re-branding as "tea party" and the media's willingness to allow certain figures to appoint themselves as the "leaders" of that movement have created something that appears to be different and alarming. Same shit, different name. The media's unwillingness to examine its own nature and ask critical questions about the content of the movement's supposed ideals is what's fanning the flames at this point, the message being presented already reached every open ear it will find.
Found a transcript. I actually have no idea what that was supposed to be about. Troops are great, I guess? Pretty safe shit, I don't think many people are going to disagree that soldiers are courageous and deserve respect. Bit of a stretch to suggest that they are the backbone of emancipation, though. The subtext suggesting that they are also god's soldiers in a holy war is also painful, but not unexpected from this crowd.
