Blanking on a movie or story

I'm trying to think of a good movie or story that involves a kid who thinks of himself as a grown up, does something because he thinks of himself as an adult to defy his parents and ends up getting in trouble as a result. I know there are tons of movies and stories like this but I'm having trouble thinking of any offhand.
