Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are being remastered in high definition for the PlayStation 3. The latest issue of Famitsu (via Andriasang) confirms the news while not revealing much of anything else about the package.
While the rumors had previously speculated about the Team Ico games appearing in a compilation, the Famitsu article has them listed as separate games.
Sony has yet to comment on the reveal, however, they did confirm to VG247 that the game will be featured during tonight's Tokyo Game Show briefing. An European release was also given the go-ahead.
While an American release has yet to be confirmed, it looks like it's only a matter of time before Sony announces one.
Finally a reason to buy a PS3... so glad this is ACTUALLY going to happen.

This is great news. SotC is one of the hardest games to get running well in pcsx2.

Target was selling this last week. I told them it wasnt out til today (I work there). I should have bought a copy 1st. But I didnt think I'd want to buy it, which I still dont, so problem solved!

Kinda off topic but how is the God of war origins collection? Its got the two PSP games for ps3 I think.
Best buy has those two sets for sixty if you buy both.

Just tried ico for the first time.
Saved the girl. Then spent 25 mins wandering around the tower wondering wtf. Went over to gamefaqs to find out how the fuck to get out. Saved and shut off my ps3. Fuck that shit. Practically invisible doorways that are blocked by shit that doesn't look out of the ordinary, that can only be moved by dragging the girl to them, right at the goddamn beginning of the game, when i have no idea she has magical powers? Fuck that.
