i dont know if i'd call it amazing, it is pretty good though. the level design is kinda wonky and the campsites are in odd spots sometimes. a map would be fantastic. the combat is good for sure

I'm curious to see the actual demographic for it, since I figure of the 1.4mil something players on launch day, at least 90% of that would be Chinese, since Journey to the West is still barely known about amongst English speakers. Game is definitely on my to play list, but waiting to get a GPU that can properly handle it, given how much it can scale to apparently put a 4090 on its knees.

Also is just nice the game is fucking out finally. Shit was in the works before either UE5 or PS5 were a publicly announced thing.

There is a leveling and upgrading and crafting system that can allow you to grind out levels and power also free respec. So you can adjust to battle bosses that suits you best. its not easy but its not souls hard. Much faster combat also.

Chart I saw floating around on Twitter said 3% of Steam numbers were US users with, as expected, 90% of the remainder being chinese. The gamergaters will nonetheless spin this a win against woke gaming ignorant of the fact this myth holds little appeal in the west.
