Power banks. Because I don't like dead phones during Momocon/SFGE..

So okay. My old faithful power bank seems to be wanting to die, so thought I'd ask here. Anker might be nice but they're pretty pricy, but anyway..I'd like a good one that won't break the bank and that plugs in via USB-C. Fast charge would be awesome since my phone supports that.

Also it has to fit in a pocket! So yeah BG folks; any recommendations so I can pounce before SFGE and get my old one recycled?

I haven't had to buy one in a while, but I've heard decent things about UGREEN. Both Anker and Belkin were my go to, but there have been a bunch of recalls on them within the last year.

Anker has always been my go-to for 10+ years, and you can frequently get them on sale for $30-40. Watch out for anything above 20000 mAh/20k since most airlines and customs won't let you carry those with you.

Mine was a PNY that has lasted longer than this build. I'll look into UGREEN, tho if anyone knows of other brands say so.

Sad about Anker tho right now I can't justify paying $60 for a power bank, but I still got one on my wish list for when money isn't so tight.

And Ragns: I proly wouldn't get more than that anyway, tho both Momocon and SFGE are LOCAL cons. AKA, I'm either riding public transit to get there or I'm driving. I assume anything above 20000mAH/20k would be a bit big though.

Update: after talking to Sonomaa, decided to just bite the bullet and go for a cheaper Anker. it's charging now and hopefully it won't have the wank I had with the PNY one; it kept disconnecting from my phone, to my extreme annoyance while running around Momocon this year. (If it won't stay connected, it defeats the purpose, I'm guessing the ports just were wearing out.)

I couldn't justify 60 bucks but I could justify 22. So it's quietly charging right now and I'll toss it in a drawer once it finishes, and I'll put it BACK on the charger the day before SFGE. Anyway, the PNY (which lasted me though 3 phones!) is now off to the recycling bin at Best Buy and hopefully this Anker will last nearly as long!
