Looking for a new gaming keyboard as my Logitech G15 is slowly dying due to eating over it constantly after 3 years of work. Only thing is I can't find any good reviews online, everything seems to be mouse oriented instead. Anyone have any recommendations of a good, comfortable gaming keyboard or review sites that I can browse myself?

I would stick with the Gseries. There is that g110 or whatever with no LCD but all te g keys and multiple backlight options. Good buy there.

Friends like their razers though. Never bothered to try with how good logitech has been to me.

$169 for a keyboard, you're crazy. I can type over 100 wpm very consistently, on pretty much any $15-20 dollar keyboard. just search for keyboard on newegg and get whatever has hundreds of reviews and you'll be fine.

Honest question, why the G19 over the G510? I haven't had any luck finding a reasonably priced G15r1 so I've pretty much resigned myself to getting as much lifetime as possible out of my G15r2 until I feel the need to shell out for a G510.

Just a matter of combing ebay constantly. Also be sure you're buying an English G15v1 as there is a large amount of Not-English boards that people try to pass off.

And the G510 is essentially the same board as the v1 with 18 G-keys, just slightly different on the LCD section and sells for $120. Probably my next keyboard if my G15v1 ever dies.

G510 or G11 imo. Wish they'd make a G19 without the screen, though. Haven't used it in years because looking to the side at another monitor >>>>>>>>> looking down at your keyboard. I refuse to give Razer a try until they start giving their products non-embarrassing names and cut out the "Emm Ell Gee" Ritalin-junkie angular design shit.

There are some choices there, since there's (apparently) a movement towards mechanical/switch keyboards. Steelseries has one, the new Razer keyboard is one, or you have things like http://www.elitekeyboards.com/ (though they seem not to have Filcos atm) or http://www.deckkeyboards.com/

Another +1 for the G110. The g-series keyboards tend to go on sale/MiR a lot so if you have a little patience you can get them relatively cheap. Or just go with the g19 if you're loaded.

I have a g15r1 at my sisters house like 2 years ago. I bought an r2 and ended up leaving the r1 there. I should go get that back to ebay it.

They just have Cherry MX brown switches - some other models in the links I gave above have them too.

Technically though, the model M has a different mechanism in it, but either way it's a difference from your standard membrane keyboards.
