    Depression was always the goal?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3DsmGvVqiw

No new information here, but an original take on how the financial sector is benefiting from the US depression/Recession.

Also, I'm going to nursing school, or make up school

Watching this now, will fill this space later

    Edit:

Well I have absolutely no idea what he means by "parasites" and "hosts", but I found Greenspan's comment on debt enslavement quite interesting. Living one paycheque away from default prevents you from bargaining, striking, or quitting your job. Therefore, the labour issues in America are solved! Pretty astute, but by no means is that your employer's fault for spending like a drunken sailor.

Nor is it your employer's fault that x many more Americans are out of their jobs this week, so you're going to get paid less or they'll find somebody else. Depressions hurt everyone's margins and while it would be nice to sell TV's for a thousand each and pay every labourer a dollar, realistically the price of goods would have to come down to meet the buying power of consumers or you won't sell many goods. Corporations aren't colluding America into a depression, they're trying to prevent themselves from falling into net losses, which in turn is dragging America into a depression. Difference.

Though I'm pretty confident the economy is stabilizing. Interest rates are rising, shipping and transportation has risen, consumer spending is just starting to come back online, unemployment has stabilized... The biggest issue facing North America is the jobs replacing the job losses are almost entirely part-time. No benefits. No protection. That's bad.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    As for video 3,

-The bailouts can't help you if you didn't have a job to begin with. And, again, they've mostly been paid back already.
-It's easy to take shots at how everyone missed in 2008, because you probably missed too.
-Should maybe get around to cutting that military. (I'm reading "Blackwater" - Did you know the ratio of private contractors/mercenaries to army regulars at the time of Iraqi Freedom was one-to-one? That private contractors can't be tried in civilian courts because they are military under Rumsfeld's "Total Force" military makeover post-9/11, and they can't be tried as soldiers because they're 'civilian contractors?' Order 17 exempts private contractors from trial and law? True story, you can literally get away with murder, and Blackwater has. Plus, they're very expensive to hire.)
-What burns economies? "Financial meltdowns and Wars". Very true >.>
-Americans overpay for medicine like crazy. Medical co's have you all by the balls. You can get the same medicines here in Canada for much cheaper(same company, same pill, same regulations) thanks to dictated prices and subsidies. No, it's not "free-trade" at all, but if you need medicine, and I have medicine, what stops me from charging you everything you got? Nothing, in America.
-Public sector innovations are listed as private sector R&D, even though gov't pays - excellent point.
