I'm just gonna leave this here.

It seems to be a fan made game that Capcom is officially sponsoring? I'm not too sure of the details myself.

Something like that. From what I understand, it was a fan project that Capcom caught wind of and liked, but wasn't going to put any resources into. So its still fan-made, but has Capcom's seal of approval. There might be more to it than that.

Yeah, according to a few articles that just went up about the project it sounds like a fan was making the game, Capcom got wind of it and decided to pump some resources into it.

If Capcom had any more effort into this game other than giving it a thumbs up it would have been cancelled because not enough fans wanted to make it.(Still bitchy about Legends 3)

Though, I am looking forward to this

I played several levels at the 25th anniversary street fighter event and it was very easy. I'm hoping it wasn't the final build.

I'm still not sure what to make of this. They scrap two official games in development since Inafune started his own game studio and NOW they show an interest in the series? This just feels so forced. It's like "OMG ROCKMAN IS 25! WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING EVEN THOUGH WE KILLED IT!!!" To be fair though, they did plan to stop it at MM3 at one point.

Yeah. OK. I get that.

My point is it feels like they're treating one of their most beloved IP's like some sort of "footnote" in contrast to some of their others. It felt like they just said "screw you guys" after Inafune's departure. Guess it can't be helped though since it isn't really one of their main cash cows nowadays.

That being said, I'm still glad to see something that isn't a ROM hack of an existing game and of course I'll be all over this.
