Early Development

Danganronpa 3 is in ‘very early’ development, according to series writer Kodaka Kazutaka.

“Until everything’s been written, there’s nothing that’s set,” Kazutaka told Polygon at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. “So to answer your question, it’s still very early because the scenario isn’t written yet.”

According to Kazutaka, it’s common for the game’s story and characters to change several times while in development.

I haven't made it to the first trial but I've gotten to the first victim.
Would love to see what some others are thinking about this game.

Playing it in ENglish just to see the localization, I hate what they did with Gonta, but besides that I still do really like this game, you can tell they took elements from all the games and "side story" and it's in play here. Firstt trial was a bit too obvious, 2nd one was quite the surprise and pretty elaborate though. I think since I put aside the fact this doesn't follow the "original cast" I ended up enjoying the game quite a lot but I find myself missing a few characters simply because I wanted to know what happened with them lol.

Only if you want to wrap up the previous games and side stor(ies) - V3 is basically 'different cast same world' in a sense, though you might see "reboot" thrown around too considering the overall storyline, but it's not necessary to watch the anime at all since V3 is disjointed in a sense, but I definitely suggest reading the novels.

Yeah UDG is kinda a slog to get through initially, but towards the end, like all DRs, it ends up getting interesting. Also obligatory "Fuck Nagito".
