This show is fucking amazing and Ethan Hawke is going to get nominated for an Emmy for this and I don't know what beats him. If you don't know the story of John Brown, you need to watch this. If you know the story of John Brown, you need to watch this. He's a lunatic abolitionist, and one of the greatest people to ever exist, who is in large part responsible for starting the Civil War. One episode in, it's one of the best shows I have seen recently.
