Hardwire/wireless router problem

Alright im using a hardwire/wireless router (belkin) . Everything works messenger steam gaming to an extent but I can't browse the internet for shit. I opened all the needed ports but it didn't do anything. Is the router messed up or am I missing something? Thanks BG techies!

Check your browser's proxy setting. Sounds like you might have/had spyware. Most if not all fuck browsers up by turning on the proxy server option.

I had a proxy issue with my browser when I reinstalled Windows, so I'd suggest trying what Jet said.

Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN".

I Had figured it out already, the firmware on the router was corrupted, i had to do a manual uninstall and reinstall on it, works just fine now. Thanks though!
