I'm pretty white bread so I don't know anything about brooklyn. My NY travels take me to where I live (queens) and manhattan. Everywhere else is scary with colored people.

Also because I asked a friend the easiest way to get to the L train and they told me I'd get stabbed since that's where I have to go.

It's been a shithole for at least the past decade. If I want to go to a beach I go to point lookout or something else that isn't jones. Also, certain parts of brooklyn aren't terrible. There's a chance you may still live.

Oh damn. Yeah when I went it was when I was little so it'd have to of been mid/late 90s. Only problems I had with Jones was a) Too many fucking people and b) questionably colored water.

Somewhere around the late 90s or early 00s I was no longer able to see my feet through 6 inches of water and there were bits of shells everywhere. The waves were never great in the first place so I stopped going there sometime early in the decade.
