Who am I? Un-Retired EGLS leader welcoming chill, fun, low drama people back to the game. Or maybe a new home for those who are in search of it. My old HNM shell was tops on our server at the time, completing several relics and beating down nearly every boss the game had. My goal is to make my new LS a great one as well.

So, like some of you, I was attracted back to FFXI after a long hiatus. The new expansions and lvl break peaked my interest. Nearly 3 years after passing the lead in my old EGLS I decided to give it a shot, and, like some of you, I am having a lot of fun with the new content.
However, I have found that the new player base is remarkably unexceptional. Also, most players that are interested in exceeding are already well rooted in their own statics and low-man groups. This was more than expected, and I'm lucky to have found a couple players that have returned to the game and are in a similar boat as I am. Of course my old egls was completely dissolved.

So I started this linkshell for returning endgamers, because that's what we are. However, anyone interested in being part of a group with ambitious goals that sticks together is welcome. I want LS members to have a link to other quality players, if you have access to this forum, you have access to some very good information. If you put this information into good practice, you will fit in just fine.

The general purpose of our LS is to have the most fun possible while we explore all the new/updated content, as well as revisiting any content that we want too, and at the same time preparing ourselves, as a group, for whatever trials remain in the future.

I am NOT going to restrict this linkshell to accepting only "Abyssea Approved" jobs. I believe the dynamic nature of the job system will allow for flexibility, or at least some changes, in the near future.
However, I can say that having access to at least one of these jobs: WHM-BLM--MNK-NIN-THF-WAR-BLU will greatly increase your playabliity at this time in general. And if you are at all interested in joining us for emp. weapon and af3+2 farming, then this is basically an unofficial requirement.
Players that will fit in well in our group already know and understand this, and are able and willing to participate in an actively helpful way. That being said, its your business what jobs you want to outfit, and I will not begrudge anyone seeing as the majority of abyssea performance is based on atmas/abyssites, not on your gear.
Also, I am not looking for people that have been grinding away for the last year and need to finish the 3rd empy or 2nd relic. I am much more willing to welcome someone who has just reactivated, or maybe is still looking for help getting a couple atmas or zone clears, but has high goals set for themselves, and a drop of loyalty to the group. The great thing about abyssea is you can get alot done with a couple people. I have learned that we can get alot more done with a couple more.

Nuts and bolts are we play in EST daytime to PST latenight. LS activities on the horizon may include AV, COP Dynamis/ New Dynamis, Salvage, Einherjar, and/or whatever our members have the most interest in. Of course Emp. weapon/ AF3+2 NM farms will be a priority focus. Any interest PM me with a rough history of your FFXI experiences, current goals and job setups. Thanks!

bumpity bump!

Thank you to everyone that has shown interest in our newly budding LS. We are still looking for people who actually know how to play outside of an exp alliance. Also for people that want to play as a group, instead of standing around waiting for/making pug shouts. Are there any old school players left?
2boxer's preferred! High playtime preferred! Mage jobs, esp. another good WHM (or another someone other than me that can 2box it). Also a dedicated BLM who does more than stand around and proc yellow (stun anyone?) would be warmly received. Also we need a good THF or WHM who also wants to farm for empy. Thanks!

im oldschool and on sylph. sadly my main got banned so whilst interested i am unable to join or at least ask to join. once my ps3 gets returned i'll get back to leveling my jobs (nin-blm-brd) though and i'll try to look you up.

Basically out of the 20 or so ppl that we tried out, they all were completed tards and we still ended up doing everything ourselves.

One core member is now playing in gmt time for some reason... one decided he's going to solo PUP to 99 and and the other sold his account after we 4 manned his kannagi in just under 3 weeks >.>

Sooooooooo.....

I would like to have a great LS to welcome you back to but its just not in the works at this time.

This was way easier in 2006~ people actually tried to be good players, and it took at least a year before someone sold their relic

As a side note if any cool people are looking to add a more "hardcore" player to their group I have a ton of playtime available, a host of useful jobs, and am looking to join a group that is SOLID, currently interested in doing voidwatch and emp weps ~thanks!
