You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

good ps2 to usb controller converter?

so I've been playing ffxi using a ps3 hooked up to the charger cord to the computer. But it's been driving me nuts. It constantly disconnects and reconnects (which I have to reset it with motionjoy) anytime I fudge the wire a little. I tried other wires and it still happens.

So anyway, I tried switching back to my old ps2 adapter superjoy3 and it seems like I have to press the controls a lot harder to make it work, and there is a lag. I used to use that way back in the day so I don't know if it's broken, or if I was used to it back then and didn't notice it.

I'd like to get another adapter. I know you can use a 360 controller, but I don't like the way they feel so I prefer a PS controller.

I've also tried those fake ps controllers, and they tend to break really easily. So ya I'd really like an adapter.

    any suggestions?

I use a Super Joy Box 5 Pro that I got from Play-Asia years ago. It works fine in Win7, but the driver it came with only works for XP and older, and you lose out on the force feedback and pressure sensitivity without it. I've got a spare around I could probably sell, I bought about 5 of them when I ordered mine. No lag on it, and no trouble having to push buttons hard.

    I think that's what you're looking for.

This one seems nicer but is also more expensive.

Total win right here - I've been using one for the past 8 years and not a single hitch with it. The only thing is that you have to press the face buttons a TEENY bit harder with a PS2 controller than a PSX because of the DS2 face buttons being analog.
