Discontinuation of ClickandBuy Payment Option (06/25/2013)

On July 31, 2013, we will be discontinuing the use of the ClickandBuy services as a payment option within the Square Enix Account Management System. If you have been utilizing this payment option, we ask that you please update your payment option to ensure that your FINAL FANTASY XI service remains uninterrupted.

Probably only doing this so they don't suffer massive consumer complaints when XIV hits retail because of how finicky C&B is with some bank providers.

They fixed the regular credit card payments right? The non-C&B ones I mean. I been just buying crysta with UltimatePay because I trust the integrity of a company that handles A-list properties such as Flyff and Disney's City Girls.

Regular credit card works fine, but if your payment bounces some how they will refuse your credit card until it expires, easy remedy for that of course by just calling your bank and saying your shit got lost or stolen.

Me and my brother used clickandbuy only until we got the ability to directly pay, which we switched to after that (tho I'm using ultimatepay now for crysta)

It's good to see this is finally leaving tho I hope no one gets caught out by this. ^^

To my knowledge there is no verify by visa attached to the crap, just select card type, enter info and it's set.

That C&B shit was one of the big reasons I quit FFXIV.

Been trying to resub to FFXI, but none of my cards (debit or CC) work... just get some dumb error code, which doesn't find anything in their help.
Hopefully for FFXIV they'll get some non-fail developers to handle payments.

Well, XIV uses the same system as XI......

If you have a working Paypal account, could try and buy Crysta through that using UltimatePay. That way the card processing isn't on SE's end.
