Well, someone may have set a Battle.net account up on your email. It happened to me on an old work email.

Check us.battle.net with the email address. You can also call Blizzard directly to check.

IF it is legit who ever wants can have it idc i have a battle.net account for sc2 but not wow but theres the email. if someone can get something out of it go for it idc it says create a account if u dont hae one so i asume its not linked to the email address

turned up dozens of red flags.

I have gotten like 5 e-mails in the past week about a Winged Guardian in my spam folder.

I didn't even look at them, I just erased them.

Any e-mail with with words "please verify" anywhere in it, pretty much says "Hi I'm a phishing scam" for me

Protip;

A true Blizzard promo email will always greet you by your first name (or the first name on your registered Battle.net account).

If it does not 99%, of the time it is a scam. (Email can easily be spoofed with a @blizzard domain).
