A charming remaster of the beloved 1993 DRAGON QUEST spin-off that’s never been released outside Japan, Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- follows weapons merchant Torneko from DRAGON QUEST IV as he chases his dream of owning the greatest item shop in the world. Set in a storybook-inspired world created by Naoki Ikushima, known for his package illustrations of DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake and DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake, this remaster of the spin-off also features a new opening video. In addition to updated HD visuals, the game includes new quality-of-life updates and unique interactive streaming features exclusive to the Steam version.

Notable for kicking off the roguelike genre in Japan, Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- is an endlessly replayable adventure as players dive into dangerous, constantly changing dungeons to find and escape with treasure to help grow Torneko’s shop.

While in the dungeons, every action Torneko takes – whether moving, attacking or using an item – gives the monsters a chance to attack as well. By defeating monsters, players earn experience points to level up Torneko and grow stronger.

Torneko's Mystery Dungeon getting a random ass remake announcement in the middle of the rapid fire "coming soon" headlines where they drop the stuff they don't think people will care that much about shows me how out of touch the average Dragon Quest fan (me) is with the mainstream because I am HYPED.
