YouMadness 2012: Probably A Stupid Trolling Competition

YouMadness 2012 began this morning with a competition between two former spam members. Now the rest of the tournament can begin with all of the current people.

The list of contestants in this year's tournament represent who I feel are the most influential people to spam right now. Many of the 2011 names are still here, some are gone, and there are some new people here to play. Let's keep this civil, but have fun with it. Campaigning for yourself or others is not only allowed, but encouraged.

I created the bracket first by determining the play-ins (generally, newcomers or those who just came back recently), then plugging the remaining names into this randomizer site and pairing the names off in order. I'll take one pair from each division per day, and each poll will last 24 hours. For the semi-finals and finals, the polls will be 3 days long. I'll try and be consistent with the time when the polls go up, but I can't guarantee it. Ties will be broken by coin flip because I'm not dealing with going through names again.

Winner has historically been a spam mod spot. I can't assure that this will continue in 2012, but hopefully the mods will cooperate (they are in on it, after all). Maybe it'll be the political forum mod instead. It's equally useful there.

I reserve the right to amend, add, or remove rules should something be forgotten or necessary, just so everyone knows now.

The first polls will likely go up tomorrow evening, 3/16. Good luck and have fun, everyone!
