Salpuri ( Help needed from you Photoshop / artistic types )

No, this is not wop round 2.


I am looking for something polished to use for a business I'm starting. I will pay you for your efforts. I am not asking for a freebee or to donate your time. So if you can't but have a friend or know someone I can work with on this, please point me in their direction or them in mine.


Here's the deal: I'm putting things together now to launch a netlabel in 2013, with a high chance of going into vinyl. I will need an image for label art. The name of the label will be Salpuri. Salpuri is a korean shamanistic dance that has been used for centuries to "guide" the dead from their sadness and ease their departure from this world to the next and to ward away evil spirits.

I'm looking for the signature image for my label. So I'm imagining something along the lines of an image or representation of the dancing woman but simplified, or etched, or even an outline. As you will notice below with the music I've linked the theme of the music is very dark and somber.


I am not looking for something inherently asian or asian themed. More along the structure of the idea of a shaman dancing and sincerely trying to remove evil spirits or sooth ailing spirits away, but viewed from a world where we know this is unnecessary, watching a dance of self-induced psychosis. The same would apply to haitian voodoo, ayahuascan rituals, and things the sort. I decided to use korean imagery and concepts for some obvious, and not so obvious reasons.

So essentially a simplified cutout of the girl, or an outline, or drawing, to reflect the nature of the concept. This is an image I will use on label art for record sleeves and on the records themselves.

PS - I've checked deviantart a little bit and didn't find anything to my liking, and in past experiences people I've commissioned through deviantart overcharged for subpar work. If there's another resource like this you can point me to I'd be greatly appreciative.
