Love: if you got certain lets say "skills" and other people can keep up with you it may make the game more fun / challenging. Its fun to trash talk sometimes.
Hate: You might have "skills" but not enough time or contacts to be accepted to play with other elitists.
The constant race to be #1 may burn you out of a game faster.
