Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition coming out this week, so the Tekken team is probably moving on to Tekken X Street Fighter. Before we see Ryu fight Jin in 3D we might get another Tekken game.

Namco Bandai filed a trademark for Tekken Card Tournament in Europe. Perhaps, this is a mobile or social Tekken game? Expanding into the social game market and accepting development contracts are two of Namco Bandai’s strategies moving forward.

Ah, Namco Bandai put that Tekken Card Tournament trademark we found to use. They announced Tekken Card Tournament today for smartphones, tablets, and web browsers. It’s a trading card game with Tekken characters, but what makes Tekken Card Tournament different for the plethora of card games on mobile phones is Namco Bandai plans on selling physical cards for use with the game.

Tekken Card Tournament will be released for free "soon" and card booster packs are scheduled for summer.
