When will legacy chars be able to move to non legacy servers?

Got behind in my leveling with the whole login congestion thing and been pretty busy with school since it's been fixed. Got to the duty finder mission, stood around for 1.5+ hours w/o it finding a pt, etc.

With gta V coming out, I just have plain no interest in leveling to 50 right now. Just getting to 17 grinding quests (Sans the main story, which I've liked the story line) has been less interesting than staring at a wall. Don't really care for all this solo shit. Didn't mind leveling in XI the old school way though.

That being said, I have a group/shell; on my server, but I have a legacy char that's already 50. How long until I'd just be able to move him over to a non legacy server?

Changing servers wont better your duty finder experience, if you wanna get in asap with little to no down time, you're gonna have to opt for being a tank or a healer, there are hundreds of dds and only so many healer and tanks to pick from the... 6-8 servers that you are pooled into for your duty finder grouping.

No date or specifications on legacy to non-legacy have been announced, that will probably come when they open up the transfers.

I'm just trying to get beyond the mission that requires it; not use it for any other purposes at the moment (unless there's multiple missions that require it?). Can't progress in the damn story cause the shit won't get me a party lol

there's quite a lot of missions that will have you doing dungeons and battlefields with duty finder. can always try to build a group without it though.

i am a whm, bur are tanks and healers so far and few between? I see alot of tanks and healers runnign around on my server

If Cream just started, then yeah. Most people have moved past the fist series of dungeons, Ifrit story, and I dunno what else.

I can see the primal ones being a bitch to get into for queue, regular dungeons not as much since people will still do those on lower levels as tanks/healers unless they are FATE grinding. I can only stomach FATE grinding so long and then I just go tank a few dungeons on my GLA that i'm lvling now.

Could always try queueing up with a healer or tank at your level.

This. Being associated with a tank (at least from my experience partying with a DD first) gets you and instant invite.

Friend of mine was waiting for an hour for Story mode Garuda. I party up with him on WAR and then instaqueue. I'm gonna hate leveling Archer I guess.

I really don't see the issue if you're only doing the MSQ instances once for a clear :/ I tend to wait from 30~45 for anything duty finder releated, but there are tons of other things to do while "waiting". I could see it being annoying if you're trying to do it for gear repeatedly, but even then.

Even as a SCH it took me 30 minutes to get a PT for Brayflox the other day just to clear the mission. Now I want to get the Battlemage series... may end up just skipping that.

Just a follow up question as I intend to level up a healer (SCH), were you playing during prime time when you were waiting?

The waiting is not that bad compared to say, FFXI back then, when DD jobs could wait.. days for an invite.

The most I've waited was about 36min. Shortest, 5min.

yeah but back then was years ago, and today is different. The longest I have waited for a dungeon as a healer was 1 hour. People keep skip through content because dungeons/DF shit doesnt reward people properly compared to fate.

- make everything in DF that gives exp % based so high lvls benefit from it too when helping out and raise the exp.(seirously 200 exp kill in a low lvl dungeon isnt gonna cut it for someone that is sitting on 400k exp tnl ¬.¬)

i'd have to assume that tank queue and healer queue's are pretty similar... but I've literally not had to wait more than 5 minutes as a MRD/WAR for the duty finder. 90% of the time it's less than 15seconds.

Tanks are the ones in low supply at low levels now so I expect they will continue to get instant queues. Even when "everyone" was doing story there was a bit of a shortage after 30 as healers went up (SCH) and tanks stayed the same, presumably.

I just want to know when we can transfer now that lots of worlds are open again. Literally every one of my friend are on Midgard (since that was our FFXI server) but I didn't get in.

I've been doing the story the last few days and have gone GLD purely because I knew it would be quicker on the DF. Up to Brayflox and every single DF I've done as GLD so far I've instantly got thrown into a set-up except for Ifrit which took 11 minutes. And for that I'm pretty sure it was because the instances were full since there was like 20 people waiting around in the story area just on my server (none of which were tanks except for me)

Basically just go tank if you can and you won't have to wait around very long on DF.

It was a Saturday afternoon when I was trying to do Brayflox. I'd say that's a busy time, but can;t say what exactly is "prime time" on a weekend.
