In Portland for a few days, what is there to do?

So some friends and I are gonna be in Portland today until the 18th, and would love any suggestions of anythung that is fun to do there (like good bars/local breweries since everyone is 21+).

Could save yourself some time and money and just watch Portlandia. They do have a lot of good craft beers though. I'd look into that.

Go to VooDoo doughnuts. I hate that I live so close to them. If I was any closer i'd be 300lbs.

Get your maple bacon bar on at Voodoo, visit the Lan Su Chinese gardens, hit up the main food cart pod on SW Washington Street, get lost in Powell's book store, a simple bar crawl, have tits shaken at you at Acropolis (along with cheap delicious steak) or at Club 205, or even check out Multnomah Falls. And of course don't forget to stop and smell the trees.

If you don't want a line go to Voodoo 2 over on the east side, there usually isn't as much of a line as the one in downtown (they take tour groups there). Enjoy the rain!

    These are all good suggestions.

Also, OMSI is an awesome science museum if you're into that, and it's basically right downtown. Voodoo Doughnuts is sort of THE Portland thing, so I wanted to second that. Strip clubs in Oregon are full nude and serve alcohol, which is apparently a neat thing to people used to frequenting other states' strip clubs.

Virtually every self-respecting bar will have a bunch of good beer on tap, and there are a zillion microbreweries. Most notably, the Widmer Gasthaus, Rogue, and McMenamin's has a number of awesome places to drink, my favorites of which are the Kennedy School and Imbrie Hall. If you like sour beers, Cascade Brewing is your friend. Looking for a more upscale bar? Try the Rum Club or Saucebox. Want to watch a first run movie and drink? Try Cinetopia, either in Beaverton/Tigard or Vancouver. Trail Blazers play at home tomorrow if you like sports.

Ground Kontrol is a barcade located just off the Max line, where you can play old school video and pinball games (for a quarter!) while drinking your favorite beverage.

Just saw this has been up for 2 days and you're leaving tomorrow....wish I would have seen it before.

Spent 3 nights there last year, going to the Kennedy School was by far the coolest shit we did there.

Go to the Stepping Stone Cafe for great pancakes the size of your chest, and pretty cheap.

The place was featured on Man vs Food at some point.

Who knew Portland was a tourist destination. Most of the places to go and things to do that have been mentioned, I have done multiple times without thought for the unique experience that it is. I will have a new appreciation for the Portlandia experience next time I go to Kennedy School or Voodoo Doughnuts. You guys did forget Kell's Irish Pub though. Oh, and Saturday Market.

Seconding Kennedy School. Couple of friends of mine got married there. Got drunk in the bar before the ceremony...lol. If you're all guys, I'd suggest strip clubs >.> they are pretty top notch there. Even fun as a chick. Club 205 has really pretty girls lol. Voodoo donuts is p good. Powell's books is a pretty awesome and ginormous bookstore if you're into that. On the other side of the river is Vancouver - Lapellah is a really good restaurant with top notch food at a great price.
